This a a historical image of the Fokker D.VII "U.10" [A1920000400] in the Museum's collection. In this image, it is probably at a forward American airfield being used by the 95th Aero Squadron, near Verdun, France, not long after its German pilot, Lieutenant Heinz Freiherr von Beaulieu-Marconnay, landed his aircraft there on November 9, 1918, just before the November 1918 Armistice. Note that the squadron's "Kicking Mule" unit insignia has been added to the right side of the fuselage below the cockpit.
