A humorous drawing by Grandjouan from "L'Assiette au Beurre" of soldiers attempt to fire on a passing aircraft. The caption reads:

"L'Aéroplane Militaire. Les artilleurs. -- Va falloir tirer en l'air... mais ça pourrait bien nous retomber sur le nez."

[The Military Airplane. Gunners. - We'll have to shoot in the air ... but it could well fall on our nose.]

"Les Aéroplanes," issue No. 398 of the French satirical periodical "L'Assiette au Beurre," 14 November 1908, page 537.
