    Humorous drawings by Gris from "L'Assiette au Beurre." The caption under the top drawing reads:

    "Nouveaux miroirs tournants, les hélices attirent et tuent les oiseaux ! On annonce la prochaine protestation du Saint-Hubert-Club contre cette concurrence aux ' fusils ' distingués."

    [New rotating mirrors, propellers attract and kill birds! The next St. Hubert Club protest against this competition is being announced for the distinguished 'rifles'.]

    The caption under the bottom drawing reads:

    "De même qu'il est défendu de l'eau dans le mer, il va être interdit de predre de l'oxygène dans l'air."

    [Just as water is prohibited at sea, it will be forbidden to take oxygen in the air.]
