Painting, Oil on Canvas, PROF. LOWE'S BALLOON WAGON
Oil on canvas painting of T.S.C. Lowe's hydrogen generating balloon inflation wagon standing next to an army wagon identified as belonging to Hancock's Brigade No. 3. A number of Union soldiers are in the picture, including a mounted officer, perhaps Winfield Scott Hancock. A two-story house stands on a hill, with out-buildings. Barrels and a crate are on the bank of a river with sailing ships, steamboats, and other vessels moored off shore as well as coming and going.
